Former RCMP officer going through 13 expenses in nationwide safety probe


The RCMP says one in all its former officers is going through 13 expenses in reference to a nationwide safety investigation.

RCMP’s Federal Policing – Pacific Area Built-in Nationwide Safety Enforcement Group (INSET) introduced the fees towards the 47-year-old man Thursday.

It alleged the previous INSET officer, who was certain by secrecy below the Safety of Info Act, shared protected and/or labeled data with people he was in a relationship with between August 2020 and February 2023.

The fees allege that work-related materials was discovered on the suspect’s house.

The officer joined the RCMP in 2009 and retired in 2025.

Not one of the expenses contain present nationwide safety investigations, nor have been any investigations compromised due to these incidents, the RCMP stated.
