The union representing employees who function and keep regional providers in Metro Vancouver says it’s now contemplating a full-blown strike.
The announcement from the Better Vancouver Regional District Staff’ Union comes as a part of escalating job actions, which on Sunday included information that union members liable for caring for parks had been strolling off the job.
The union says the employees liable for 25 standard regional parks corresponding to Grouse Mountain and Capilano Regional Parks in North Vancouver are on strike indefinitely.

Union president Jesse Medeiros says the parks shall be with out the employees who repair trails, acquire rubbish and supply speedy first help for accidents, amongst different duties.
Medeiros says a full-scale, indefinite strike by all its regional providers members is feasible if the union doesn’t see “vital motion towards a brand new, affordable collective settlement.”
The union represents about 700 employees working numerous regional providers corresponding to park and wastewater amenities and it says it has been with no new contract for 18 months.
An announcement from the union says that 15 workers deemed important by the Labour Relations Board will carry out providers on the regional parks now a part of the strike.
