A suicide attack by Fitna al-Khwarij on a Pakistan Army check post in South Waziristan has been foiled, leaving seven civilians injured.
Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital, Dr Jan Muhammad, said that seven injured people were brought to the hospital for treatment.
Reports said the attackers tried to target a military post in the Azam Warsak area using a vehicle filled with explosives. However, security forces stopped and destroyed the vehicle before it could reach its target.
The quick action prevented major casualties, and the suicide attacker was killed during the operation. After the incident, security forces sealed the area and started a search operation.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their quick response.
He appreciated their professionalism and bravery, saying they play a key role in protecting the country. He added that the security forces continue to be a strong force in the fight against terrorism.
