Some evacuation orders have began to raise as cooler nights and lighter winds restrict the expansion of a wildfire close to Lytton.
Officers with the Lytton First Nation and the Thompson-Nicola Regional District downgraded evacuation orders to an evacuation alert, permitting some neighborhood members to return residence.

Wildfire officers say temperatures are anticipated to get hotter over the following few days, with Setting Canada forecasting highs between 33 and 35 C from Monday by way of Wednesday.
The wildfire broke out Friday, days away from the fifth anniversary of the June 30, 2021, inferno that razed the city and claimed two lives.
