In a new regulatory filing, Netflix revealed that it paid $587 million in cash for InterPositive, a startup co-founded by actor and director Ben Affleck.

The streaming firm introduced the acquisition in March, with an announcement from Affleck saying he needed to “shield the ability of human creativity.” In keeping with Affleck, InterPublic’s AI instruments assist filmmakers enhance their footage in post-production, notably in the case of making up for “real-world manufacturing challenges reminiscent of lacking pictures, background replacements or incorrect lighting.”
