Ottawa police say they’re trying to find a person after a girl had her hijab eliminated in what’s being thought of a hate-motivated assault.
At about 11 p.m. Saturday within the 100 block of Woodridge Crescent, police responded to a report of the assault. In line with officers, a person approached a girl unprovoked and uttered a racial slur earlier than “forcibly eradicating her hijab” and throwing an umbrella at her.
