ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has seen complaints from customers relating to unauthorised activation of value-added providers (VAS), leading to surprising stability deductions. Based on a press release issued on Tuesday, customers have been suggested to stay cautious and usually test their cell stability and lively subscriptions.
VAS usually embrace providers corresponding to caller tunes (ring again tones), every day SMS or web bundles, missed name alerts, cell video games, horoscope updates, quiz providers, infotainment alerts and different subscription-based content material providers.
“Please notice that no VAS might be activated with out your clear consent,” said PTA.
Activation requires affirmation by a One-Time Password (OTP) and/or dialling of a selected USSD code. If a client has not shared an OTP or dialled any code, the service shouldn’t be lively. Any such activation could also be unauthorised.
