    Pakistani batter Asif Ali declares retirement from worldwide cricket

    Proper-handed Pakistani batter Asif Ali introduced retirement from worldwide cricket on Monday, saying carrying the Pakistani jersey was a “proudest chapter” of his life.

    Ali, 34, shared his retirement information on his Instagram deal with, saying: “As we speak, I announce my retirement from worldwide cricket.”

    The center-order batsman wrote: “Carrying the Pakistan jersey has been the best honour of my life, and serving my nation on the cricket discipline has been my proudest chapter.”

    The hard-hitter expressed gratitude in direction of his followers, colleagues, and coaches for supporting him at “each excessive and low”.

    “To my household and buddies, who stood with me in moments of pleasure and within the deepest of trials, together with the lack of my beloved daughter through the World Cup, your energy carried me ahead,” he added.

    Ali, who commenced his worldwide profession in 2018 and appeared in his final match in opposition to Bangladesh in October 2023, through the Asian Video games, performed 58 T20Is and 21 ODIs in 5 years of his cricket journey.

    In whole, he scored 959 runs, together with three centuries in each codecs.

    He remained a part of the Pakistani squad within the ICC Males’s T20 World Cup in 2022 and 2021.

    Within the T20I World Cup 2021 semi-final, Asif performed a memorable innings in opposition to New Zealand and Afghanistan.
