    ISLAMABAD:

    Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan Salem Mohammed Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi met Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan on Tuesday, with each side reaffirming their dedication to deepen bilateral financial ties and expedite progress on the Pakistan-UAE Complete Financial Partnership Settlement (CEPA).

    Based on an official assertion launched on Wednesday, the commerce minister referred to the long-standing political, defence and people-to-people relations between Pakistan and the UAE, describing them as robust and time-tested. He mentioned each international locations had been eager to translate this relationship right into a extra balanced and substantive commerce and funding partnership that displays the total potential of bilateral ties.

    The minister outlined Pakistan’s ongoing financial reforms and reiterated the federal government’s resolve to create a extra enabling surroundings for enterprise and funding. He acknowledged that stabilisation measures had posed short-term challenges for the personal sector however mentioned the federal government remained targeted on medium-term progress, export enlargement and regional connectivity, notably by way of engagement with Gulf international locations.

    Ambassador Al Zaabi welcomed Pakistan’s reform efforts and famous the professionalism of the technical groups concerned within the CEPA negotiations. He highlighted Pakistan’s market dimension, human capital and strategic location, and conveyed the UAE’s curiosity in increasing cooperation in areas together with commerce, logistics, ports, infrastructure, manufacturing and funding facilitation.
