    PAA says Pakistan’s airspace stays ‘utterly out there’ for civil aviation site visitors – Pakistan

    RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) mentioned on Tuesday that the nation’s airspace remained “totally open, secure, and utterly out there for all civil aviation site visitors”.

    The clarification got here after the authority issued a notice to airmen (Notam) relating to particular air routes in Karachi and Lahore areas, saying they’d stay unavailable from March 3 to March 31 between 9 am and three pm day by day.

    The Notam mentioned “chosen ATS (air site visitors service) routes segments” within the Karachi (OPKR) and Lahore (OPLR) flight data areas (FIRs) would stay unavailable throughout the above-mentioned interval as a result of “operational causes”.

    In a subsequent assertion, the PAA mentioned that the Notam was a “routine operational advisory”.

    “It declares the non permanent unavailability of particular ATS route segments inside the Karachi and Lahore FIRs throughout day by day home windows (0900-1500 PKT) from March 3 to 31. These segments are closed from floor degree to limitless altitude as a result of normal operational causes,” the assertion mentioned.

    “Pakistan’s airspace as a complete stays totally open, secure, and utterly out there for all civil aviation site visitors, together with business flights. Air site visitors companies proceed with out hindrance, and various routing choices can be found and routinely used for all affected flows,” the authority mentioned.

    “No restrictions have been imposed on business operations, arrivals, departures, or overflights throughout Pakistan. Our air site visitors controllers and airport groups are totally operational and managing site visitors usually,” it added.

    Then again, no business flight was operated between the Center East and Islamabad Worldwide Airport (IIAP) on Monday, aside from an Etihad Airways flight that landed there.

    In accordance with the airport data counter, Etihad Airways flight EY300 from Abu Dhabi arrived at IIAP at 7:30pm. Nevertheless, all flights from Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, Kuwait and Muscat had been canceled as no flights departed from these international locations.

    At present, PIA flights to and from Saudi Arabia stay operational, a spokesperson for PIA mentioned.
