Centres Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon and Macklin Celebrini, who will likely be teammates on Canada’s squad at subsequent month’s Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, have been named the NHL’s three stars for December.
Additionally, Montreal Canadiens ahead Ivan Demidov was named rookie of the month.
McDavid, the Edmonton Oilers’ captain, led the league with 34 factors (13 targets, 21 assists) final month.
He enters the brand new 12 months on a 14-game level streak after placing up essentially the most factors in a month since Pittsburgh Penguins legend Mario Lemieux in December 1995 (12 targets, 22 assists in 14 video games).

MacKinnon was second within the league with 14 targets and 12 assists in 14 video games for the league-leading Colorado Avalanche.
Celebrini completed fourth within the NHL with 25 factors (eight targets, 17 assists) in 14 contests and ended the month on a nine-game level streak for the San Jose Sharks.
McDavid and MacKinnon had been two of the six preliminary gamers chosen to Canada’s Olympic roster in June. Celebrini, a second-year ahead, was added Wednesday when Hockey Canada launched its full Olympic roster.
McDavid and MacKinnon entered 2026 tied for the league lead in scoring with 70 factors, eight greater than third-leading scorer Celebrini.
