Minister says training equips youth to contribute to marine conservation and blue financial system

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has underscored the necessity for integrating ocean consciousness into formal training methods and empowering youth as energetic companions in preserving marine ecosystems.
He expressed these views throughout a gathering with Minister of State for Training and Skilled Coaching Wajiha Qamar, who known as on him and mentioned methods for enhancing marine training, literacy and youth engagement in sustainable ocean administration.

The “Ocean Literacy for All” is a Unesco’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Fee (IOC)-coordinated international initiative underneath the UN Ocean Decade (2021-2030) that promotes ocean consciousness, training and conservation.
Chaudhry emphasised advancing marine training according to the SDGs, together with SDG 14 on ocean conservation, SDG 4 on high quality training, SDG 13 on local weather motion and SDG 2 on sustainable fisheries, with a give attention to lowering air pollution, strengthening ecosystem administration and making certain sustainable use of marine sources.
He additionally introduced reforms in maritime training, together with granting degree-awarding standing to the Pakistan Marine Academy and the institution of the Maritime Academic Endowment Fund (MEEF) to supply scholarships for deserving kids from coastal communities.
