Punjab Data Minister Azma Bokhari on Wednesday stated that the Basant pageant, which was revived by the provincial authorities earlier this month in Lahore after an 18-year hiatus, would now be celebrated in February 2027.
“I wish to state categorically… that Basant might be celebrated in February 2027. No suggestion for celebrating it earlier than that’s into consideration,” she stated in a video message posted by the Punjab authorities’s official account on X.
