An Alert Prepared alert has been issued for New Brunswick warning individuals to not choose up hitchhikers and to be alert after an inmate escaped from the Southeast Regional Correctional Centre by “leaping the fence.”
RCMP mentioned Todd John Lewis, 35, escaped from the Shediac, N.B., facility at round 5:20 p.m. Thursday.
“Lewis escaped the jail by leaping the fence and ran off on foot in direction of Route 15. He was beforehand charged with weapon associated offences,” RCMP wrote in a Friday launch.
