KARACHI: Gold prices continued their upward trend across Pakistan on Thursday, registering a sharp increase of thousands of rupees in a single day.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs7, 900, reaching Rs523, 962 nationwide.
The association further reported that the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs6, 773, taking the new rate to Rs449, 212 across the country.
Meanwhile, in the global bullion market, gold prices climbed by $79 per ounce, bringing the international rate to $5,012 per ounce.
Market analysts attribute the continued rise in gold prices to fluctuations in the international market and ongoing economic uncertainties.
On the other hand, silver prices in Pakistan witnessed a notable increase on Thursday, continuing the upward trend in the precious metals market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of silver per tola surged by Rs358, reaching Rs8,404 in the local market.
Market data further revealed that over the past two days, silver prices have climbed by a total of Rs390 per tola at the domestic level, reflecting sustained pressure in the precious metals segment.
Traders attribute the rise to fluctuations in international bullion rates and currency movements impacting local pricing.
