    KARACHI: Deputy Inspector Common (DIG) of Site visitors, Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh, has taken motion following a report by ARY Information, canceling all leaves for police personnel forward of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.

    The DIG Site visitors formally issued orders for the cancellation of leaves main as much as the festive season.

    Elaborating on his determination, the DIG acknowledged that this measure was taken to make sure a clean movement of site visitors all through Ramadan.

    Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh famous that extra police contingents shall be required particularly through the pre-iftar rush.

    Moreover, heavy deployment shall be obligatory over the last ten days of Ramadan to handle autos parked exterior main procuring facilities.

    He emphasised that no leaves shall be granted to any personnel, with exceptions made just for real emergencies.

    He concluded by directing that his orders be strictly applied throughout the board.

    Earlier per week in the past, the Sindh authorities eliminated DIG Peer Muhammad Shah because the chief of Karachi site visitors police.

    A notification issued by Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah acknowledged that DIG Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh has been transferred and posted as the brand new site visitors police chief. It requested DIG Shah to report back to the Providers, Common Administration and Coordination Division.

    Whereas the official notification was silent in regards to the causes behind DIG Shah’s elimination, knowledgeable sources informed Daybreak that not too long ago Inspector Common of Police (IGP) Javed Alam Odho had sought a proof from him relating to allegations of “misuse of authority” in registration of a case in Hyderabad final 12 months, allegedly on his directions.

    The reason letter dated Jan 16 gave “three days” to DIG Shah to elucidate his place, stating: “The failure to submit your reply throughout the stipulated time shall be deemed that you haven’t any clarification in your defence, and the case shall be accordingly forwarded to the competent administrative authority for initiation of departmental proceedings towards you.”
