    The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Trade (ICCI) has urged the federal government to formulate a complete Nationwide Export Technique coupled with proactive commerce diplomacy to reinforce Pakistan’s world competitiveness, diversify export locations and strengthen value-added manufacturing.

    Speaking to a delegation of exporters on Saturday, ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood said that Pakistan’s export sector possesses immense untapped potential; nonetheless, structural bottlenecks, excessive manufacturing prices, inconsistent insurance policies and restricted market entry proceed to hamper sustainable progress.

    He careworn that commerce diplomacy should change into a central pillar of Pakistan’s financial coverage. Pakistani embassies and business attaches, he mentioned, ought to play a extra dynamic function in figuring out market alternatives, eradicating non-tariff boundaries, facilitating B2B linkages and selling Pakistani merchandise overseas.

    He urged the federal government to align international coverage priorities with financial aims to safe higher market entry and preferential commerce preparations.

    Mehmood famous that regional economies have been aggressively pursuing export-led progress fashions, supported by aggressive power tariffs, export rebates, innovation incentives and powerful diplomatic engagement. “Pakistan should undertake an identical strategic strategy to safeguard and develop its world commerce footprint.”

    He additional emphasised that Pakistan ought to actively discover non-traditional and rising markets in Africa, Asean, Central Asia and the Center East whereas consolidating its presence in conventional markets.
