    Bangladesh won’t journey to India to play in subsequent month’s T20 World Cup, its cricket board stated on Thursday, a day after the sport’s governing physique rejected the nation’s plea to shift its video games to Sri Lanka.

    “Our solely demand is to play the World Cup — however not in India,” Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam Bulbul advised reporters, successfully ruling out their participation within the event.

    A day earlier, the Worldwide Cricket Council (ICC) introduced that it will not be making any modifications to the World Cup schedule or teams, days after Bangladesh requested that its matches be moved to Sri Lanka after refusing to play in India.

    In line with CricinfoBCB president Aminul Islam additionally stated: “We’ll return to the ICC with our plan to play in Sri Lanka. They did give us a 24-hour ultimatum however a world physique cannot actually try this.

    Bangladesh introduced on Jan 4 that it will not play its T20 World Cup matches in India after its participant Mustafizur Rahman was Launched by his Indian Premier League (IPL) staff amid rising tensions between the 2 nations. Subsequently, Bangladesh had “formally requested” the ICC to shift their video games to Sri Lanka.

    The T20 World Cup begins on February 7 with Bangladesh in England’s Group C. The staff is scheduled to play all of their group matches in Kolkata and Mumbai.
