ISLAMABAD: Core inflation measured by Shopper Worth Index (CPI) decelerated to three% throughout August 2025 in comparison with 4.1% recorded throughout July 2025, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported on Monday.
In line with PBS knowledge, the CPI primarily based inflation throughout the identical month of final 12 months (August 2024) was recorded at 9.6%.

On month-on-month foundation, it decreased by 0.5% in August 2025 in comparison with a rise of two.2% within the earlier month and a rise of 0.6% in August 2024.
The Delicate Worth Indicator (SPI) inflation on YoY foundation elevated by 2.6% in August 2025 in comparison with a lower of 0.9% a month earlier and a rise of 10.8% in August 2024. On MoM foundation, it elevated by 3.2% in August 2025 in comparison with 3.1% in a month earlier and a lower of 0.3% in August 2024.
The Wholesale Worth Index (WPI) inflation on YoY foundation decreased by 1.0% in August 2025 in comparison with a lower of 0.5% within the earlier month and a rise of 6.3% in August 2024. On month-on-month foundation, it decreased by 0.2% in August 2025 in comparison with 1.2% within the earlier month and a rise of 0.3% in August 2024.
The core inflation measured by non-food non-energy city elevated by 6.9% on (YoY) foundation in August 2025 in comparison with 7.0% of the earlier month and 10.2% in August 2024. On (MoM) foundation, it elevated by 0.3% in August 2025 in comparison with a rise of 0.8% measured within the earlier month and a rise of 0.4% within the corresponding month of final 12 months in August 2024.
The core inflation measured by non-food non-energy Rural elevated by 7.8% on (YoY) foundation in August 2025 in comparison with 8.1% of the earlier month and 14.4% in August 2024. On (MoM) foundation, it elevated by 0.2% in August 2025 in comparison with 0.7% within the earlier month and a rise of 0.6% in corresponding month of final 12 months in August 2024.
