A peaceable Sunday evening in Belleville, Ont., was shattered by stories of a number of gunshots, adopted by native police issuing a tight-lipped assertion.
The Belleville Police Service posted a media launch on Fb saying that round 7:10 p.m., close to Bleecker Avenue and Victoria Avenue, in a principally residential space, an officer encountered a person.

They are saying that in an interplay, each the officer and the person have been injured and brought to hospital.
The province’s Particular Investigations Unit has been notified, and police say no additional remark is coming presently.
The incident seems to have unfolded close to the Sons of Jacob Synagogue, throughout a gathering to mark Yom Kippur.
Premier Doug Ford responded on X, saying that he was “disgusted by the taking pictures” and stands with the Jewish group in Belleville and throughout Ontario.
