A person is dealing with various fees after being accused of coming into a Manitoba dwelling, assaulting a lady and pointing a rifle at her, although the suspect needed to go to hospital briefly after a person within the dwelling tackled him and wrestled the gun away.
Blue Hills RCMP say they responded at about 12:55 p.m. on Aug. 27 to a report of an armed man who had entered a house in Souris, Man., and assaulted somebody.

A suspect knocked on the door of the house and when a feminine resident answered, the person requested to talk along with her associate earlier than he assaulted and pointed a high-powered rifle at her.
Her husband arrived, prompting her to run. He tackled the suspect, wrestled the rifle away and held him till police arrived.
Police stated the victims weren’t significantly injured.
Once they arrived, the suspect was taken into custody and brought to hospital for monitoring. He was then arrested the next morning as soon as he was launched from hospital.
The firearm was retrieved and seized by RCMP.
A 66-year-old man from Souris is dealing with a number of firearms and assault fees, together with two counts of pointing a firearm, two counts of assault with a weapon, utilizing a firearm within the fee of an offence, break and enter, resisting a peace officer, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The person has since been launched on a launch order.
