MCQs-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) CSS Competitive Examination-2027
- Mandatory Requirement: Qualifying the MPT is mandatory for applying and appearing in the main CSS Competitive Examination 2027 (CSS CE-2027).
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree (Second Division) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Age Limit:
- Candidates must be 21 to 30 years old on the cutoff date.
- A two-year age relaxation is admissible to specific categories specified under Rule 6 of CSS CE Rules, 2019.
- Cutoff Date: The cutoff date for determining age, qualification, domicile, and all other eligibility criteria is 31st December 2026 in accordance with Rule 5.
- Governing Rules: The examination shall be governed entirely by the CSS CE Rules, 2019 with no exceptions.

How to Apply
- Online Application: Candidates intending to appear in the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT)-2027 are required to apply online through the ‘Apply Online’ link on the FPSC website (www.fpsc.gov.pk).
- Account Creation & PSID Generation: Create an account, log in to the online portal, complete/update your profile, fill out the prescribed application form for MPT-2027, and generate a 16-digit PSID for the online fee payment of Rs. 250/- well before 20th August, 2026 (PSID is mandatory for online fee payment).
- Fee Payment: Fee can be paid online via the 1-Link facility using ATMs, mobile banking apps (Easypaisa, JazzCash, etc.), internet banking, or over the counter at any 1-Link member bank.Note: Fee paid on old FPSC Challan Form (TR-6), or through cheque, bank draft, pay order will not be accepted.
- Final Submission: After depositing the fee, candidates must log in again via the ‘Apply Online’ link on www.fpsc.gov.pk and enter the remaining required details to complete their online application.
- Admission Certificates: Admission certificates can be downloaded from the FPSC website at least 10 days before the test. No separate intimation to this effect will be made by FPSC.
