LONDON: Prince George celebrated his 13th birthday as Kensington Palace released a candid video showing the future king’s playful side, alongside a new official birthday portrait.
The video, shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales, features George enjoying outdoor activities with his younger brother, Prince Louis, including playing with a dog, climbing rocks and spending time together in nature. The post was accompanied by the message: “Thank you for all the birthday wishes for George today!”
Earlier in the day, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, released an official portrait marking George’s birthday, showing the second in line to the British throne smiling in a relaxed pose.
King Charles III also extended birthday wishes to his grandson, celebrating the milestone as Prince George officially entered his teenage years.
The newly released video offered a glimpse of George’s more relaxed personality, contrasting with his typically reserved public appearances, and highlighted moments of family life as he continues to prepare for his future royal responsibilities.

Earlier, Prince George of Wales, the eldest son of William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales, is marking a major milestone in his education as he prepares to leave Lambrook School and enroll at Eton College this fall.
George, second in line to the British throne, is expected to complete his final day at Lambrook School on Saturday after attending the Berkshire preparatory school since 2022.
The 11-year-old prince will begin boarding at Eton College in September, following in the footsteps of his father, who was educated at the prestigious all-boys school.
George has attended Lambrook alongside his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Louis of Wales, bringing to a close a chapter in which the three children studied together.
