Camp Braveness, a Nova Scotia camp that encourages younger girls and gender-diverse youth to discover careers in firefighting and different emergency companies, is marking 20 years.
Founder and government director, Andréa Speranza, says greater than 36 per cent of members go on to work in emergency companies.
And lots of, she says, keep within the business.
