American actor Giancarlo Esposito, widely recognized for his iconic portrayal of Gustavo “Gus” Fring in the globally acclaimed television series Breaking Bad, has reportedly embraced Islam during his stay in Saudi Arabia.
The announcement was made by Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, who stated that the actor recited the Shahada while filming in the Kingdom.
According to Turki Al-Sheikh, Esposito formally accepted Islam during his time in Saudi Arabia after developing close interactions with Muslim colleagues while working on his latest production.
He reportedly expressed admiration for the environment and later performed prayers alongside members of the production team inside a mosque. A video of the moment has since gone viral across social media platforms, drawing widespread attention online.
