The opening of the Gordie Howe bridge between Ontario and Michigan has been delayed, the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority mentioned in an announcement.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Mark Carney had mentioned that the bridge would open by the tip of this week, regardless of resistance from U.S. President Donald Trump.

“Canada and the USA have agreed to delay the opening of the bridge, taking the required time to resolve any excellent points,” Chuck Andary, Interim CEO and and chief authorized officer of the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority mentioned.
