ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Income (FBR) has amended the Export Facilitation Scheme (EFS), requiring customers to submit a six-monthly reconciliation assertion to forestall misuse of the export incentive mechanism to spice up exports, The Information reported.
“In train of the powers conferred by Part 2l9 of the Customs Act, 1969 (lV of 1969), Part 50 of the Gross sales Tax Act, 1990, Part 40 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005 and Part 237 of the Revenue Tax Ordinance, 200l (XLIX of200l), the Federal Board of Income is happy to direct that the additional amendments could be made to the Customs Guidelines, 2001,” learn an official notifcation,
Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kiani, in his X publish, said that the federal government of Pakistan has elevated the utilisation interval underneath the Export Facilitation Scheme (EFS) from 9 months to 18 months.
“This basically signifies that exporters can now avail zero responsibility and import stage taxes for imported inputs, supplied that they’re used inside 18 months.”
