In a sudden and heartrending incident, Jordan Jones, 28, a former collegiate and indoor football standout, was fatally shot while performing security duties outside Saddle Bar in Acworth, Georgia.

Jones, a native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, played high school football at Mountain View High School before advancing to the University of West Alabama Tigers.
He later competed professionally in the Indoor Football League, playing for the Tulsa Oilers and San Antonio Gunslingers, and had been slated to join the Michigan Arsenal in Arena Football One.
