ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have inflicted heavy losses on militant elements during Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, a decisive military action aimed at countering hostile threats along the country’s western frontier. The operation highlights the preparedness and resolve of the Pakistan Armed Forces under the leadership of Asim Munir to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, the operation has resulted in the elimination of hundreds of militants affiliated with the Afghan Taliban regime. Security forces also destroyed a large number of militant posts and strategic positions during the operation, significantly weakening hostile infrastructure operating across the border.
Providing operational details, the minister said that a total of 583 militants were killed while over 795 others sustained injuries during the ongoing campaign. In addition, 242 militant posts were destroyed and another 38 were captured and dismantled by Pakistani forces. The operation also resulted in the destruction of approximately 213 tanks, armored vehicles and artillery pieces belonging to hostile elements.
Tarar further stated that Pakistani forces conducted targeted strikes on around 64 locations across Afghanistan during the operation, effectively neutralizing militant infrastructure and disrupting their operational capabilities.
Security analysts believe that Operation Ghazab lil-Haq demonstrates the growing capability of Pakistan’s military forces to respond swiftly and decisively to emerging threats. The coordinated use of intelligence, ground operations and precision strikes reflects a high level of operational planning and inter-service cooperation.
The operation comes at a time when security challenges along the western border have intensified due to cross-border militant activity and attempts by extremist groups to destabilize the region. Pakistani authorities have repeatedly warned that any threat to the country’s security will be met with a firm and proportionate response.
Military officials say the successful targeting of militant positions and equipment underscores the operational readiness and technological capability of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Analysts also note that such actions send a clear message that Pakistan remains committed to maintaining stability and protecting its borders from external threats.
Observers attribute the success of the operation to improved coordination among Pakistan’s security institutions and the strategic direction provided by the country’s military leadership. Under the command of Field Marshal Asim Munir, the armed forces have continued to strengthen their preparedness and response mechanisms against evolving security challenges.
Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, officials say, is part of Pakistan’s broader effort to eliminate threats to national security and ensure lasting peace and stability in the region. Authorities reaffirmed that the country’s armed forces remain vigilant and fully prepared to counter any attempt to undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty or the safety of its citizens.
