Resident Evil Requiem is full of puzzles for you to solve, from collecting a pair of lungs and a heart to reanimate a corpse, to inputting codes in the correct order. But not all of these puzzles are necessary.
Resident Evil Requiem: Where to Find All BSAA Crates
Discovering all these crates in Raccoon City will grant you the Crate Expectations trophy, and we know exactly where to find them all.
One of the optional puzzles, and an easter egg, is the STARS office case. Once you have made it to the Raccoon City Police Department, you will find this case in the back room of the STARS office.
With very little to go on, can you solve this puzzle? Here is how you open the STARS office case in Resident Evil Requiem.
STARS Office Case Location
If you haven’t played Resident Evil 2 or have simply forgotten the layout of the police station, we will show you where to find the STARS office. First, start by progressing normally into the West Office.
After leaving through the other end of the office, go down the hallway, dispatch the one zombie roaming the halls, and turn left to access the Reception Office. Here, you will shoot down the ladder to access the second floor.
When you reach the top of the ladder, go straight to access the hallway. Follow this hallway to the end to find a door labeled STARS. This is the STARS office, and the case is in the back room of the office, where the lockers are located.
Resident Evil Requiem: How to Solve the Sun Puzzle Box (Get Sun Quartz)
In order to escape Rhodes Hill in Resident Evil Requiem, you need to find three quartz to open a door — this is where to get the Sun Quartz.
STARS Office Case Code
Now that you have found the case, let’s break down the process of obtaining the three-letter code required to open it. Start by interacting with the notepad on the desk in the STARS office.
This is a note from Barry with some various tasks to complete. Take note that the top priority item is to “find the missing library book.” This is necessary to obtain the code.
The list will mention that the captain checked it out last. With this information, go to the STARS captain’s office. In the back of the captain’s office, interact with the photo of the STARS members.
You will get a voice prompt from Leon. From here, interact with the drawer of the desk and wait a few seconds. A piece of paper will slide into view. Interact with this paper to learn that the book is called “The Medicinal Benefit of Herbs.”
Head to the library, which is down the hall and to the left after entering the room with the statue. Once in the library, make your way up the stairs, and then turn left at the toppled bookcase. Be sure to hit the raccoon statue in the area as well if you haven’t.
You will find a bookshelf with a book on it that you can interact with. Interact with the book and open it to find a photo of Rebecca. Take the photo from the book and turn it around to see the words “Rising Rookie Rebecca.”
This is the code for the STARS office case. Go back to the STARS office, interact with the case, and put in the code R-R-R for Rising Rookie Rebecca. That is a puzzle solved, and it probably took less time than previously finding the detonator parts.
Doing this will get you the Power Shades Charm. This charm offers limitless bullet penetration and increases the firepower of the last bullet in the cylinder. It is great to have attached to Requiem.
