The US will deter Iran from buying nuclear weapons “somehow”, US Power Secretary Chris Wright warned on Wednesday.
US President Donald Trump “firmly believes we can not have a nuclear-armed Iran,” Wright advised reporters in Paris on the sidelines of conferences of the Worldwide Power Company.
“They have been very clear about what they’d do with nuclear weapons. It is solely unacceptable,” Wright mentioned.
“So somehow, we’re going to finish, deter Iran’s march in direction of a nuclear weapon,” he added.
US and Iranian officers held talks in Geneva on Tuesday aimed toward averting the opportunity of US navy intervention to curb Tehran’s nuclear program.
Iran mentioned following the talks that they’d agreed on “guiding rules” for a deal to keep away from battle.
US Vice President JD Vance, nevertheless, mentioned Tehran had not but acknowledged all of Washington’s pink strains.
