SEATTLE:
Boeing reached a brand new contract on Friday with about 1,600 white-collar employees with the previous Spirit AeroSystems, which it re-acquired in December.
The contract, which expires in late 2030, was accepted with 85% of votes forged.
The contract features a $6,000 ratification bonus, annual wage will increase, enhancements to medical and retirement plans, and an extra six days off a yr.
It was the primary labour deal reached with former Spirit AeroSystems workers.
The employees are a part of the Society of Skilled Engineering Workers in Aerospace’s (SPEEA) Wichita Technical and Skilled Unit. SPEEA represents 11% of Boeing’s 182,000 workers, in accordance with latest firm filings with the US Securities and Trade Fee.
Boeing will begin negotiations later this yr with SPEEA’s two largest bargaining items, which comprise roughly 16,000 engineers and technical employees in Washington, Oregon, California and Utah.
