Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, tied the knot with Shanzeh Ali, granddaughter of senior PML-N chief Rohail Asghar, in a nikah ceremony held in Lahore on Saturday.
The nikah was solemnised by the sajjada nashin of the shrine of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, whereas the bride’s consent was obtained by Council of Islamic Ideology Chairman Mufti Raghib Hussain Naeemi.
For the ceremony, Junaid Safdar wore an ivory sherwani paired with a gold-toned turban, whereas the bride was wearing a standard pink outfit, complemented by jewelry.

Numerous political leaders and relations attended the ceremony, together with the groom’s dad and mom, grandfather PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Hamza Shehbaz, Salman Shehbaz, Hussain Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz, senior PML-N leaders, in addition to a number of overseas friends.
The valima ceremony is scheduled to be held on Sunday on the Jati Umra Farms, the place round 800 friends have been invited. PM Shehbaz, federal and provincial ministers, senior political figures and overseas friends are anticipated to attend the reception.

The mehndi ceremony was held on Friday at Jati Umra, attended by shut relations and friends. On the event, Junaid Safdar wore a deep navy-blue conventional kurta with golden buttons, paired with a golden-brown scarf draped over his shoulder.

It’s value noting that that is Junaid’s second marriage. He had earlier married Ayesha Saif Khan in 2021, and the wedding led to separation after two years, in 2023.
