A New Yr’s Day fast-food restaurant heist in Winnipeg ended with a suspect being arrested on a metropolis bus consuming burgers and fries.
Winnipeg police say a person went to a fast-food restaurant Thursday afternoon within the 1500 block of Portage Avenue, the place he demanded cash from the entrance until and threatened to shoot the staff.

Police say three workers ran to security and the person circled across the counter the place he tried, unsuccessfully, to open the money register.
They are saying he then went into the kitchen of the unnamed restaurant, stealing hamburgers and fries.
Police say the person then boarded a bus with the meals and tried to battle different passengers.
No accidents had been reported.
They are saying the bus had not travelled far when it stopped, and a suspect was taken into police custody.
A 29-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged with theft and possession of property obtained by crime underneath $5,000.
