    Ontario Provincial Police say they’re investigating a deadly collision on Freeway 401 in central Ontario that led to the loss of life of a pedestrian.

    Northumberland OPP mentioned in a submit on X that officers responded to a collision involving two automobiles and a pedestrian on Freeway 401 eastbound close to Cochrane Street within the Township of Cramahe, Ont., on Saturday at roughly 10:40 p.m. Cramahe is about 140 kilometres east of Toronto.

    Police mentioned it was reported a pedestrian had been struck and a car had been parked near the median within the westbound lanes. A 22-year-old from Chatham, Ont., was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

    The freeway from Huge Apple Drive and County Street 30 was closed for an investigation, however OPP mentioned that each one lanes had reopened as of 5 a.m. Sunday.

    Anybody who could have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the world on the time of the incident is requested to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
