Bengaluru: Simply hours after stories of a Rapido bike taxi rider allegedly assaulting a girl in Bengaluru sparked outrage, a brand new twist has emerged.
The lady might have thrown the primary blow on the driver, reported India Right now, citing a an unique footage of the incident.
The surprising incident, which unfolded on a busy road, was caught on digicam and has since gone viral on social media. Within the viral video, the lady may be seen nearly falling to the bottom after she is slapped. Nevertheless, the Rapido driver can’t be seen clearly.
What led to the ruckus
The lady, who works as a gross sales affiliate at a jewelry retailer in Jayanagar, was reportedly on her strategy to work when she requested the rider to cease mid-ride, upset together with his reckless driving and repeated sign violations, reported PTI.
What started as a verbal altercation escalated rapidly — after the rider allegedly struck the lady with such power that she fell to the bottom, leaving bystanders in shock.
Police officers instructed PTI that the lady refused to pay the fare or return the helmet after confronting the rider, which additional escalated tensions.

Following the incident, each the rider and the lady had been dropped at the Jayanagar police station for questioning.
A senior officer confirmed that whereas the lady accused the rider of rash driving and assault, she declined to file a proper grievance regardless of repeated persuasion.
“The lady has not given any grievance on this regard. So, now we have filed a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) on this matter. The rider has been questioned on this regard and authorized motion can be taken as per legislation,” mentioned Lokesh B Jagalasar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), reported PTI.
