After the Congress’ large “vote theft” allegation, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of a minimum of three states requested Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to submit a signed declaration with the names of “ineligible” individuals included in voter lists and eligible voters who have been excluded, in order that essential motion may be taken.
As per the CEO’s letter, Gandhi must give a declaration that the assertion made by him, below rule 20 of the Registration of Electors Guidelines, 1960, is true to one of the best of his data, and he’s conscious that making a false declaration in reference to electoral rolls is punishable below part 31 of the Illustration of the Individuals Act, 1950.
