The Indian authorities will function three further evacuation flights from Iran over the following two to a few days as a part of its ongoing ‘Operation Sindhu’, Union Minister of State for Exterior Affairs Pabitra Margherita mentioned on Sunday.
Thus far, 1,713 Indian nationals have been evacuated from conflict-hit Iran. The most recent batch of 285 Indians arrived in New Delhi late on June 22 on a particular flight from Mashhad and was acquired by Minister Margherita on the Airport. This marks the eighth batch of Indians introduced dwelling as a part of the continued operation.

Based on the Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA), the most recent group included folks from a number of states resembling Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, reported ANI.
In a publish on X, the MEA said, “India’s evacuation efforts proceed beneath Operation Sindhu. MoS Shri Pabitra Margherita acquired 285 Indian nationals evacuated on a particular flight from Mashhad that landed in New Delhi at 2330 hrs on 22 June.”
“With this, 1,713 Indian nationals have now been introduced dwelling from Iran,” the MEA added.
In the meantime, MoS Margherita, in a publish on X, expressed his satisfaction with the continued operation, stating, “Warmly welcomed 285 Indian nationals on the Delhi airport who had been evacuated from Iran beneath Operation Sindhu. With this, 1,713 Indian nationals have been introduced dwelling safely from Iran.”
“We acquired 5-star motels…”, evacuees specific gratitude
The evacuated Indians thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Embassy for the secure return and recalled the grim scenario in Iran.
Suja Ali advised ANI that the embassy introduced them to a secure zone. Ali mentioned he went to Iran on June 11, and the assaults began on June 12, whereas he was in Qom. The embassy later introduced them to a secure zone 1,200 km away.
“When the assault occurred this morning, we had been on the airport and we thought that Iran would possibly shut its airspace. However it’s PM Modi’s diplomacy and the Indian authorities’s association that we reached right here safely,” he added.
One other evacuee, G Alama Jaan, mentioned, “The scenario was worsening there. The Indian embassy introduced us right here. Now we’ll go from Delhi to Srinagar by bus. I’m grateful to the federal government for bringing us right here safely,” reported the information company.
