“Our crews are working across the clock to restore observe and sign harm, reinstate impacted signaling, and return a few of the broken infrastructure to service so we will add extra prepare service,” Metrolinx wrote in a press release.
“These repairs will take longer to finish, and at this stage we count on the impacts to increase into tomorrow.”
Since Monday, trains out and in of Union Station have been operating on lowered schedules because the system struggles with fewer choices.
Each Wednesday night and Thursday morning, trains will run as follows:
- Lakeshore East: 60-minute service, outdoors of 15–30-minute peak a.m. and p.m. service.
- Lakeshore West: 60-minute service, outdoors of 15–30-minute peak a.m. and p.m. service
- UP Categorical: 15-minute service
- Kitchener: 60-minute service, outdoors of 30-minute peak a.m. and p.m. service.
- Milton: 30-minute a.m. and p.m. peak service
- Richmond Hill: 60-minute a.m. and p.m. peak service
- Stouffville: 30-minute a.m. and p.m. peak service
- Barrie: 30-minute a.m. and p.m. peak service
