Climate right now: The India Meteorological Division (IMD) issued orange alert for Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha, predicting heavy rainfall on July 1.
IMD in its newest press launch said, “Heavy to very heavy rainfall at remoted locations probably over Konkan & Goa, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat state throughout subsequent 7 days.”
Shifting to climate forecast for Northeast India, the climate company predicted, “Gentle/reasonable rainfall at most locations accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning and remoted heavy rainfall prone to proceed over Northeast India throughout subsequent 7 days with very heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on 02nd & 03rd and Assam & Meghalaya on 06th July,” in its report dated June 30.
