Amid the rising backlash over the Delhi authorities’s refuelling ban, setting minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa wrote to the Fee for Air High quality Administration to place the ban – on refuelling petrol vehicles older than 15 years and diesel automobiles older than 10 years – on maintain with rapid impact.
In accordance with an ANI report, the minister urged the fee put the implementation of Course No. 89, which mandates the denial of gas to Finish-of-Life (EOL) automobiles in Delhi, until the Computerized Quantity Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is built-in throughout the Capital and NCR.
“We urge the Fee to place the implementation of Course No. 89 on maintain with rapid impact until the Computerized Quantity Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is seamlessly built-in throughout the complete NCR. We’re assured that the continued multi-pronged efforts of the Delhi Authorities will obtain substantial enhancements in air high quality,” Sirsa’s letter to the fee stated.
