MIAMI (AP) — Rookie Agustín Ramírez hit a tiebreaking, two-run single within the eighth inning and the Miami Marlins beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2 on Saturday.
Kyle Stowers homered and Ronny Henríquez (5-1) pitched two good innings of reduction for the Marlins.
Milwaukee reliever Jared Koenig entered with the bases loaded and no outs within the eighth and fanned Connor Norby. He then bought Otto López to hit right into a drive play at house earlier than Ramírez hit a two-strike line drive to left that scored Javier Sanoja and Xavier Edwards.
Ramírez has 37 RBIs, which leads NL rookies.
