Passengers aboard the Boeing 737 that made an emergency touchdown on Monday after a sudden 26,000-foot plunge have shared harrowing accounts of their near-death ordeal. The passengers described the scenes of chaos and concern, with oxygen masks dropping, flight attendants shouting, and a few vacationers getting ready for the worst by writing wills and sharing financial institution PINs. The Spring Airways flight from Shanghai to Tokyo had taken off from Shanghai Pudong Airport and was en path to Narita Airport when the terrifying drop occurred, prompting swift motion from the crew.The aircraft, with 191 aboard, was compelled to drop swiftly from 36,000 ft to only under 10,500 ft inside ten minutes.The movies that went viral on social media confirmed virtually all passengers carrying oxygen masks. The flight in the end diverted to Kansai Worldwide Airport in Osaka, Japan, after the emergency was declared.
‘I heard a muffled increase’
Recalling the second of horror, one passenger mentioned, “I heard a muffled increase, and the oxygen masks fell off in just a few seconds.
